Thirty-three years ago, James and I were married in a small chapel in Southern Georgia. It was simple, meaningful, and full of love—a day we still cherish to this day. That experience shaped the way we view weddings: not just as an event, but as a deeply personal celebration of love, family, and new beginnings.

When we moved to Missouri in 2017, we carried that vision with us. We felt called to create something that blended the intimacy of our own wedding with the timeless elegance of southern architecture. That vision became Southern Charm Estate. What started as a dream quickly grew into a place where hundreds of couples and families have celebrated their most cherished milestones.

But for us, this has never been just about the venue. It’s about people. Hosting weddings and events here is more than a business—it’s our family’s passion and purpose. We’ve poured ourselves into every detail of the estate, from the chapel remodel to the ballroom design, always with the hope that every couple would feel the same sense of joy and belonging we felt on our own wedding day.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside our children to make each celebration meaningful. Every “I do,” every first dance, every joyful toast reminds us why we started: because we believe every couple deserves a day that feels as unforgettable as ours did.
